We have started DS on Daytrana. So far, we are very happy with the results. It seems to give him the least amount of rebound in everything we've tried.

We started off with 10 mg. pack, no problems at all with the patch itself. We are now on our first week of 15 mg. We have already had 2 faulty patches in the first week of this package. I'm hanging on to them, just in case there are more. It's when I try to seperate the middle, the backing ends up taking all of the adhesive with it.

I'm not going to worry too much over 2, but if there are more, I think they need to be replaced. So far this is the most expensive med DS has been on, and I really think they should be replaced if there are several faulty ones in the package.

So, who's attn. do I bring it to, the manufacturer or the pharmacy?

Thanks

I would also call shire as they will send you a card to replace the patches with your next rx.  They are very expensive and I have had several bad batches and they have no problems sending you a free month supply.

Good Luck...

Charlene

Shire is aware of the problem, and the solution is usually to stick them in the freezer for a minute before applying them. yo, my names mike and im 16 years old. while using the 30mg daytrana patch, i have recently been experiencing some of the rarer symptoms, such as cramps and muscle soreness.

For example, last night i had a baseball game and when i woke up this morning i was sore as hell. usually im not really sore from baseball games. the only soreness i get is usually around the back shoulder of my throwing arm and parts of my throwing arm, along with some minuscule soreness in my quads from stealing bases and running down fly balls. (i am the lead off hitter and being one of the faster ones i the team, i run a lot more)But when i woke up this morning, my quads were a lot more sore than normal and my whole entire back was sore. and during the game i was getting "toe cramps" and frequent cramping of my calves, back, and hip.

I do not blame the "loss of appetite" side effect of the patch, because i still eat my regular intake of food, which happens to be a very well balanced diet, which includes more than double the amount of daily protein value. i also work out frequently but haven't in the past week, so this muscle soreness is unrelated to my working out.

I do blame the patch for causing these cramps and sores, because stimulants do cause dehydration. BUT, i am always constantly drinking water daily; enough water that my urine is constantly clear. I am not sure why i still get this rare side effects of muscle cramps and sores, but i do know that the patch has been causing them.
