ok so we need to give our child eyedrops and of course it isnt fun for him we expect him to act out like any child. So he freaks and keeps his eye closed as tight for my hubby and now he doesnt like it but doesnt act out and lets him do it better for my hubby.
I go to put eye drops in and he freaks out so bad his eyelid flipped up i felt so bad i was very calm kept talking to him telling him mommy was only helping him but yet he kept freaking out so bad. I did the same way my hubby was doing to get the drops in. My hubby goes to give him his dose this afternoon and what does he do he's as calm as can be only a little whimper.
Is it me, why does he have to act like a different person? You either hate taking drops and act the same way for everyone or you dislike it but still dont act like a crazy person while getting them for mom. I feel like a failure as a parent though i know i am not. He really hurts my feelings.
We were watching a parade today and i asked him nicely to stay on porch or around the area and not run to backyard which i cant see him when he goes there, you know he ran and didn't listen to me. Of course with his obsession with food i tell him i have candy from parade and he is eating it coming back to porch area where parade is and jumping up in the air cant sit still during whole parade acting like a real hyperactive child. My other child sat real nice and she got up and was excited but he was over the top. Then he tried going to the back yard again i told him stay on porch,he looked at me and said "no"giving me a dirty look and i told him you don't say no to me he turns around staring off for almost 45 minutes. He wanted nothing to do with me after that. What am i doing wrong all i asked him to do was stay by me that was all.
i'm sorry i'm confused, how old is your child, and does he have adhd?
