| Music to help you jump start | |||
| |
When I was working alone in a closed office I was able to play music loud on speakers and it really helped me a lot get jump started on stuff I had difficulty starting. Once I got "into it" the music was a distraction but it least it helped me get started. Now I share a large office and I can no longer do that. I really don't like headphones, partly because if I am "drifting" (i.e. surfing internet etc.) I don't want others to know and if I do drift with headphones on (which I still do) it makes for a pretty awkward moment. If someone is standing behind you. So I don't listen at all now. But headphones are also a little too distracting. What are peoples thoughts on music. Music is really great for doing boring stuff that you know exactly what you need to do and does not require concentration. I always listen to music when I do math homework, it just makes it go by somuch faster. It's also nice when I have to clean. It helps me greatly to listen to music and/or radio talk shows when I clean house. I don't know why, but I get into the swing of things better when I do. Oh, yeah, and when I wash the car, too; but I have to be careful to not get carried away with the volume, being that I'm outside in our neighborhood. I rarely put the TV on, though, since I'll get distracted and end up watching that instead of staying on task. I find that it helps me alot. Music makes the brain more "happier"....it does, raises serotonin or dopamine...whichever one...that's why it's easier to concentrate or get the job done. There's a connection there! i listen to music whilst doing the dishes it realy helps. its he dopamine that gets fired up my mums a child developmental phycoligest
XXjXX i also put music on wen doing housework , usually abandoning housework to dance. whatever turns you on ![]() |
