wonderful news - there is hope! | ADHD Information
I wanted to share the spectacular news with everyone here about my medications and how there actually IS hope that the insurance companies might actually help a person out every now and then!I am a medical transcriptionist and my work is highly dependent on my ability to focus - both for quality and of course quantity of work. I was paying 2 a month for my Strattera, which was killing me financially (I am a single mom of 3 and things always seem to be tight financially). My doctor contacted my insurance company and explained my situation and the results were honestly completely unexpected. My doctor's office called me and asked me if I was "sitting down"! They then told me that my insurance would actually cover my Strattera (for the next 12 months) at a month! That is an amazing savings!
So, the reason I tell you guys this is because there really is HOPE that the expenses can be cut if you can get your doctor and your insurance to work together. This was not the first time I requested my doctor to talk with my insurance. In fact, it was done about a year and a half ago and my insurance didnt even respond to my doctor's request. So, BE PERSISTENT. Keep asking for help from your doctor and your insurance. :)
Good for you. Persistence paid off! It sounds like Strattera works well for you.
I am also an MT, so I know what you're facing. It sure gets challenging, doesn't it?

Hey, another MT. :) I was beginning to think I was the only one out there. Ug, you're right - it sure is challenging sometimes. I am struggling today to get my work done...even with my kids away at their dad's house this weekend, it is still so difficult to stay on task. Oh well, at least I can do this in my PJs and have I Love Lucy on in the background. :)
