tenex and weight gain | ADHD Information

Has anybody had their child gain too much weight on tenex? We
increased dd's tenex dose and lowered her stimulant dose about a week
ago and she has gained 6lbs. in a week. She really did not need to gain
any weight. Typically if we take her off stims for the summer (without
tenex) she will gain 5 lbs all summer. I am now a little nervous to keep
her on the tenex. At this point she really does not need any extra weight.
I wonder if I just lowered her tenex dose if that would help?

I know most parents are wishing their kids would gain weight on stims
and we were there for a while too, but after a 20 lb. weight gain this
past year while on stimulants, she was at a really good weight. Now I
don't want her to head in the other direction. Any insights?

Thanks! JoMy DD gained 45 lbs total while taking Tenex for 3 months. She does tend to gain on stims though, when some lose. Tenex hasn't effected my daughter's weight gain.   She's remained on the same curve since we added tenex to her stimulant back in January.    She does eat a little more food midday - but not enough to make a huge difference.
