encopresis | ADHD Information

HI all, Most of you know my story.  Wyatt is inattentive add and we have taken him off meds for summer.  He had/has encopresis which the doc believes was caused by constipation caused by the tenex.  I should have been giving him more fiber than I was and his dad wasn't giving him any on weekends.  So...he was at the point of soiling his pants at school etc.  We gave him an enima (doc's orders) and increased fiber.  He was on the right track but it was slow going until he spent a week at dad's.  (no fiber at all) Then he came home and was soiling everyday. So here we were starting all over. (Just reminded me why I divorced his dad! What a jerk) We did another enima and increased the fiber.  Still slow going.  We then went to the chiro who put Wyatt on a probiotic (I checked with the ped on this first) and he adjusted his spine.  Well, this is the 5th day accident free! And...last night he had the first normal bowel movement that he's had in a year!  Yes, I am excited about poop! Sorry!  He is soooo happy and is now anxious to go to summer rec.  He was nervous about it because he was afraid to have an accident there.  So, we've had a step forward and I thought I'd share. That is wonderful- hooray for victories! It's great that your son feels much better about everything.  Hope he enjoys summer rec!  Bet you're relieved to find treatment that works well.  Relieved but a little scared that it's too good to be true! Just want to update...still no accidents!
