Is there any connection with ADHD meds and RA?
I've had to stop taking my Adderall XR because it cause me too much pain, and Strattera made me sick to my stomache and depressed, so I've stopped being medicated.
When I tried to get back on my original dose (30 MG of Adderall XR x2 and 20 MG of generic x3), after a week, I really couldn't move my joints and lived in the bathtub because its was the only thing that reduced some of the pain. It was so bad all I could do was cry.
When I stopped taking them after that week most of my RA symptoms dramatically dropped. I still was in pain, but my pain level went from a 9 to a 3.
HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCES SIMILAR PROBLEMS...
A little background: I'm 37, and have been taking Adderall XR for 4 years now. I first started noticing knee pains, but when I had to be put on steroids to stop my ankles from swelling and turning purple I knew something was wrong. That was my first outbreak. My second outbreak occured about 3 months after the first when I was still taking Adderall XR + Generic 20mg, and was placed on steroids for 3-4 months, and given the diagnosis of RA. I haven't taken any ADHD medicine a over 4 months, and I feel 100 times better and more focused then when I did.
Anyway, I'm running out time at the moment, so I end it here (for now)...
