We have problems once in a while with getting backing off patch. Seems there is always one or two per package that don't release as easily. we changed to lower dose for summer and the new boxes were easier to apply. Keeping them on the cooler side does work-- don't know about refriderator though- check website and ask pharmacist for advise.
after 9 monthes of use DD now is suddenly have monor skin irrataion from it.
We never had problems with adheasion- put it on and hold firm for 10 seconds is all we do.
Hi.  my son is no longer on Daytrana, but we put them in the refrigerator.  They were much easier to put on.  I hope that helps!

Does anyone else have problems keeping the 30 mg Daytrana Patch on their child? We are really struggling on a day to day basis (even using medical tape)?  Daytrana works great when the patch stays on. Any Suggestions?

Hi, Trinity's Mimi

My son no longer uses the Daytrana Patch, but last week, Shire sent me a notice regarding recall of specific lots of Daytrana Patches specifically due to problems with adhesive.  I threw the notice out since I didn't need it, but might suggest you go to the website and see if you can find out more?  Good luck to you.  (BTW, they emphasized that that was the only problem with the patches, nothing else.)

We had that problem w/ a box a couple of months ago.  I called Shire and they told me to throw them out and they sent me a coupon for a free refill.  The next box was fine- we haven't had any trouble with them.yes, all the time, but I'm sure it has alot to do with where you store the patches. I use to keep them in a cabinet next to the stove and soon realized this was a problem. the heat and moisture from cooking caused problems with removing the backing and keeping the patches on the skin. I have never tried the fridge but sounds like a great idea.
