and my *guess* is that the report will come back with adhd-combined type, as we've known all along...but the new diagnosis for us will be non-verbal learning disorder for our dd. from speaking with the tester briefly at the clinic i'll be surprised if the report says anything else. i'm relieved to hear no anxiety, no depression, no bipolar, etc....but i know that the road ahead won't always be easy either. socially my dd is having her biggest challent...day by day, day by day. the clinic personnel does offer social skills groups, but she said my dd wouldn't fit in as most are more extreme cases of tourettes/aspergers, etc.
my dd seems to be doing better on the concerta versus the ritalin...here at home this summer at least.
we get the full report on the 15th...she already verbally suggested to see if a friendship class is offered at the middle school...
anyways...so far i'm relieved and saddened at the same time. relieved that my dd isn't depressed or anxious, which i didn't think she was...but still sad to have another diagnosis persay, i am sure that you all can understand this.
it could be worse...it could be worse....count my blessings!
