What are your top 5-10 distractions? Here's mine. useless website updates and excessive SEO mushroom ramen roodles DVDs (not TV, i can't even pay attention to that) milkdrop visualizations AIM chats shrimp ramen noodles ADHD boards / this post philosophy theses (yes really) guitar blabbing with people i live with chicken ramen noodles 1. Sex 2. Sex 3. Sex 4. Sex 5. Sex 6. Sex 7. Sex 8. Sex 9. Sex 10. Sex No wonder I got 6 kids... 1. Internet 2. Computer games 3. Phone ringing (I hate this interruption!) 4. Talking to family members 5. Our dogs barking (I go to the window to see what they are barking at, then forget what I was doing!) 1. other people's conversations especially strangers. 2. Playstation 3. books 4. my children 5. television 6. talking to myself in the mirror when i am excited/stressed about something 7. my daydreams 8. whatever my latest obsession is. my latest is preschool crafts 9. every single item in any shop so grocery shopping takes hours! 10. itchy sensations 1. obession with war 2. sex 3.politics 4. worrying about money 5. physical fitness In order of priority:1. Worrying about money 2. Worrying about my daughter 3. Worrying about my ADD 4. Worrying about weight 5. Worrying about relationships 6. Did I mention worrying? 1. Internet 2. tv/movies 3. daydreaming 4. my OCD problems 5.my children 6. the internet 7. sex 8.my crazy friend on the phone (I have a mental disorder...she's just psycho! but I still love her!) 9 The state of our country 10. worrying about what people think of me. 1. Relationship that may/may not exist outside of my head 2. Sex 3. Work (when the sun and moon are aligned in the house of... ) 4. hitting send/receive to check email 5. playing my bass when 1-4 aren't taking up every waking hour 14chattering doors opening and closing tv commercials smells food phones other people's conversations trying in vain to remember everything - yes, everything! cars at night noisy neighbors at night internal conversations with myself anything to keep me from doing what i'm supposed to be doing physical discomforts (from needing to use the bathroom to pain in my body) i'd better stop now and get back to work. ![]() 1. reddit.com 2. facebook 3. roommate 4. looking out the window 5. pacing 6. making tea 7. piratebay.org 8. going to any other room in the house to refresh my cognitive abilities 9. gmail 10. school email |
