My son has been on Medadate a few weeks now and I see that he is not as angry as he used to be. And the outburts are much better. We even tried Respidal a few months for his anger and it did NOTHING at all so I am surprised to see a ADHD med help with anger. Does this sound right?

Yes, it seems they can help with anger. Some make it better, some worse. If the child is truly ADHD and is on the right med and dose, it alleviates the frustration that goes along with having ADHD. The medication doesnt calm angry oubursts but it removes the elements that cause them by allowing the child to focus thus being able to make choices instead of being all over the map in a constant state of impulsivity. Hope this helps. Luvmykids0239638.4418287037I have to agree that I think the meds help with the frustration that can cause the outbursts. I started medication for my ADHD and I have bee so much happier because the calmness. That aniexty and frustration that was always there is gone. Life is easier for me now, change or disruption is easier to handle.
