dr. changing me to ritalin, what now? | ADHD Information

I couldn't handle ritalin. I felt terrible on it, like the wheels in my head just stopped. It was the first time I could sit there and think about nothing. It was like having a lobotomy.

Haven't noticed any other side effects.  The shriveling is there there, but I don't think it affects the final outcome.

I have noticed lately that at night it feels as though there are bugs crawling in my ears.  Unrelated?  Perhaps, but annoying none-the-less.  Usually last only a few minutes.

I take 2.5 mg of ritalin 4Xday with good results.  It works well with reboxetine, of which I have experienced no side effects.

i  have been on the adderall xr 10 mgs for about five days and now i seen the psych dr. and he said the adderall has a higher incident of causing seizures and i have a photo sensitive seizure condition so he put me on ritalin 5 mgs 3 times a day.

he said if it works he will change me to the long acting one, (my request) and see how that goes.  any comments on ritalin?

My doc has me 50mg of Rit a day and it has been a Godsend.  I am amazed at the difference it has made.  I really notice the difference late in the evening (after it has worn off), or if I miss a dose.  I haven't seen any unusual side effects beside the constant dry mouth-I've become a good friend to Orbit gum.
