my dd has been on Concerta 18mg since Feb. I have noticed this summer that it is not holding up the whole 12 hours anymore. Her Dr. appt. is tomorrow so I will address it but I'm afraid if she gets too much she may not sleep because she has problems now falling to sleep. Even on the Concerta she is very very hyper after 5pm everyday. She starts yelling again, being loud, obnoxious, etc....
I'm thinking of asking to up the dose or ask to give to her twice daily?
I just started concerta at 36 mg It seems to wear off after about 6 hr.
A college student, this is too early. Would it be reasonable to consider two of the 18 mg tablets instead?
I've been taking concerta 54 x 2 for a while now. No problems with it. I am 54 yrs old. Concerta is time released to last 12 hours. So that would mean I am taking 104mg/day, or 36mg every 4 hours. One 54mg pill should give you 18mg every 4 hours.
