I am 54 yrs old and have been taking two 54 mg Concerta/day. After 12 hours, I take 20 mg of generic methylphenidate. So the total is 128 mg covering 16 hours. I have been doing this for about 5 months. No problems at this point.
I was curious if other people have taken this much in a day. I would assume I could probably be ok with a max dosage of 144 mg.

I began with this medication on July 30, 2007 with about 15-20 mg, day of methylphenidate. I gradually increased dosage until I peaked at 128mg (two 54mg Concerta + 20mg methylphenidate) in May of 2008. So I've been on 128mg now for about 4-5 months and have no negative side effects.
I am curious if anyone else has been on a dosage this high, and for how long. And if you have any negagtive side effects.

I am on 10 mg three times a day, lasts about 6-8 hours. Only side effect is a 10-20 bpm increase (normally 50-60, it goes up to 70-80)It's me -- Greenlantern.

write how much ritalin or methylphenidate or concerta (they're all the same chemical) you take in a day. Thank you.
I take 128mg/day. To cover 16 hours. Have no negative side effects. Doing this for 5 months.
