Wondering if I might have AD/HD....

Hello, I'm a 20 year old college student and I'm new to this forum

Something has been weighing heavily on my mind lately.... I am wondering whether or not I have AADD...

Throughout my life, I've had trouble staying organized, staying on top of tasks, and remembering things. As a child, I was unorganized and rarely did homework or studied. Chores also didn't come easy for me, as I'd often get distracted by other things and the tasks would seem much harder than they actually were.

And now, as a young adult, I have many of the same problems. I constantly procrastinate when it comes to any work that is set before me. I sometimes find it difficult to organize my thoughts (even while making this post). And I'm extremely forgetful, even to the point of neglecting daily tasks, like brushing my teeth or taking a shower. And menial tasks seem insurmountable. Just things like washing the dishes or doing the laundry seem much harder than they should...

And now I'm wondering whether or not I have a problem. A part of me wants to shrug this off on extreme laziness and stupidity, but I also would really like to know if I have a problem that can be dealt with. I make this post here because I have no one I can talk to about this... and because there are people here that might know what I'm going through...

I appreciate all the help anyone can offer...

Don't know what to tell you since I'm not a doctor of any sort.
I do wonder about myself having adhd or other loose wiring of some sort.
I came to learn about adhd after my 10 year old daughter was dx with it about a year ago. I read about it on line and in books ect. for about 5 monthes non-stop-- estimated about 4-500 hours or reading. Many good sites availible from .gov and .org. sites. Alot of great books also.
I like this forum too.
If you didn't have some sort of problem, you wouldn't be wondering about it. Your on the right track looking for advise and seeking help.
hang in there and good luck.
