What to Do When Meds Stop Working | ADHD Information

Have you tried dexedrine?  I have been taking the spansules (timed release) version for several years and it still keeps me on target. 

I did as well have to increase my dose but only from 10mg twice daily to 20mg.  Although I don't feel that "feel good" feeling that was there early in the meds I still have the impulse control and stability.

What I do remember is that at about 3 or 4 months the med tapered off (I was on 10mg at the time) and my psych recommended I stay the course and not alter the treatment.  That advice was good as about a month after that the meds came back online and haven't lost the effectiveness since.

Also I can warn you and others that over the last year or so I've noted (and so has my wife) a steady decrease in libido (sex desire) though can't notice anything else.  It just seems to be less important for me personally to have sex at all like I used to feel.  I'm working on ways to bring it back but this may be important to you.

Does anybody else have this problem .. Every medication I have tried seems to work great the first few months (mostly with a increase in dosage) Then 3-4 months later the seem to have no effect at all , I have been on Straterra Adderall XR Concerta and currently on 15 mg Focalin XR (What ever effect it still has on me wears off in 4 hour, I'm thinking of changeing to Vyanse, Oh yea im 47 Years old , Been a member for awhile been meaning to post
