well u could set an alarm to go off 30 min before he leaves. that way no mater what was going on u would have to shut the alarm off and u could even keep the meds right next it so u wouldnt get side tracked after. my ds gets his meds when he wakes up and hand them to his dad to open it. he would def tell us if we forgot. does yours remember or tell u? maybe he could have a watch with an alarm? HTH

I forgot to give him his meds this morning. I could kick myself- I had this problem way too often last year and we're only two weeks into the school year and I've forgotten already. I'm going to get the proper forms signed at the doctors when we go in 6 weeks so I can leave a few at the school but I don't want to rely on that because it's such a hassle to get the meds up to the school and keep track of how many he has there.
DH made me replace it- he couldn't take it anymore, but I know I never got rid of it.
yay i hope it works for u. your should be able to find a pretty cheap alarm less than at most stores. u will just need a simple one. yah for some reason my ds is fascinated with his meds. since we have had to switch meds and doses a few times he has tried to guess what color they are and what they look like before we even get them home ;o) im very lucky with this b/c i hear lots of kids have probs with meds and refuse them. good luck with the alarm i hope it helps u to remember and also the money is great i bet your kids will try to be the 1st ones to remind u.

I keep my purse near the medicine bottle. I have found this to help me the most. I can't leave for work and get my son to the bus stop without my purse and car keys. So the med is rarely ever forgotten except on the weekend on occasion. I say post the note on the front door. a big one. I do not have this problem as I give my son his meds as soon as he gets up as they last 12 hours.I use my cell phone's alarm to wake up, and to remember pills. It never fails
.Hi, I go to work early my husband gives meds to both our boys. I have them in a basket on the island with his car keys. He has never forgoten them for school. I do afternoon and night. He never remembers those. When I pack lunches (after the kids have gone to bed), I put the pills at my son's spot at the table where he eats breakfast....it's just a routine. When you wake your child up in the morning hand him his meds and a glass of apple juice in bed. If he wants another 10 minutes to doze, that find, but you will have meds in his system that much sooner and you won't forget the am meds since it happens the very first thing. Again, you'll find that the morning might go a bit easier because the meds have had time to get into his system.

i think we have all had those days. I now have a digital timex watch that has an alarm that goes off at 7:45. no matter what i am doing, i drop everything and give my dd her meds. I also keep a weeks worth of meds in this little craft tube that has 7 different clear compartments and i labled with the days of the week. i refill it on sunday. it is clear which is nie so i can glance at it in the kitchen and i don't have one of those, "did i give her, her meds?" moments.
but the watch has been a life saver.
