my 9 yr old boy was diagnosed with ADD 4 yrs ago and i refused to put him on the concerta, however we have now moved to another country and even they say the same.......he really needs it

so after 5 yrs of omega 3 and every other natural alternative, i finally agreed to put him on the concerta 18mg.

he has gotten so far behind in his school work that it destroys me

the clinical tests (machines and eeg's) showed that he his brain functions at a slower pace than it should do and that he is losing alot of the info it should recieve

the psychologist tests showed he has a learning disorder in comprehension and expression and he is very far behind but very bright but because his brain processes the info so slowly it then loses half of it, so everytime he does something its like its his first time

anyway TODAY i started him on the 18mg of concerta, i cried in the toilet and found it very stressful, looking for side effects, i feel like i will have a heart attack from the stress

anyway, he was ok and ate as normal and was more relaxed and patient BUT now it is wearing of and he is complaining of headache and very bad eye pain and he is angrier than normal

is this normal ??

is it worth putting our kids and ourselves through this just so he can catch up at school and be better educated.....help me i am really scared, thank you xx
