Wow, the poor little guy. I think that is strange that the bus driver beeps at the house when dropping off the children. I've never heard of any such thing. It seems harmless to the bus driver I am sure but the driver should be sensative to the needs of your son. Unless that is a district policy. I hope they will cooperate with you.
My ds (9) started taking the bus for the first time this year. We have always lived close enough to the school for him to be dropped off easily by car but now we are in the country so he has a long bus ride in the afternoon. There are bullies on the bus bothering him. He comes home upset everyday. He has been handling it like a champ. No violence. But I fear that if it continues it will push him over the edge. He is ok if his meds are still in him. I am going to talk to the principal if it does not stop today.
I hope it works out for your son.
My ds (8) had his first day of school and I drove him to school and let him take the bus home (big mistake) he got off the bus crying and went into a rage. I found out the stupid bus driver beeps at every house she drops the kids off. (My son freaks out at sudden loud noises ) major sensory issues so he cried, kicked the bus, hit me, threw everything in the house, very angry and full of aggression. Took most of the night to calm him down. Not a fun afternoon at all. I never heard of a bus driver doing this. This was a new driver so I need to get a message to her not to beep at every house!!! Geesh!!

Your poor son! I don't know if the bus driver will change for your son. It is probably a safety issue with her- she wants to alert parents that their children are home. If your son has special needs that are documented or you can get your son's doctor to put his dx's on paper, you could call the bus superintendent and see if they can send a special bus for your son morning and afternoon.aawww poor little guy! i have never heard of a bus driver doing that neither. hopefully u can get that straightened out.
