seasonal allergies and behavior | ADHD Information
My ds has been very "out of it" in the mornings. He gets 9 hours of sleep
per night, which is his norm. However, he wakes up around 5:30. His 15mg.
Daytrana patch is not working like it did. He can't seem to get himself
together and is silly. He looks really tired the past week and I believe that
his seasonal allergies are kicking in. Does anyone go through this with their
kids that have seasonal allergies? He seems more anxious (takes Zoloft) and
is not himself. We are going to increase his Daytrana to 20 mg tomorrow
because I think he needs an increase. He has been on 15 mg for 1 1/2 years
and has gained about 5 pounds recently. How often do you go through
increases in meds? Do you think that I will have to increase his Zoloft as
well? Just looking for others input and advice. Is he taking allergy meds? Personally, I'd rather try to get the allergies under control rather than increasing the stimulant, if that can be avoided. Allergy options can include an antihistamine, steroid nasal spray, Singulair, other things???
