Hi,

I was diagnosed with high blood pressure first.  There is a family history and my pressure goes up with stress.  I have been on Labetalol 100mg 2x/day.  And almost 2 months ago started taking Adderall XR.  I have only had my pressure checked a few times since starting Adderall XR and each time my pressure has been fine.  I am getting ready for an increase in Adderall so we'll see- I am increasing from 20mg to 30mg.

I am so glad this issue has come up.  I have posted several times regarding HBP meds and adderall.  I am 44 and I have been on adderall for 4-5 yrs. I take the short acting and I adjust my dose on how I feel.  I take any where from 5 mg 2x a day up to 10mg 2x a day (which is my prescribed dose). Last year I started having problems with my BP.  Mine is also stress related and situational. I have two separate drs., one that prescribes my adderall and since I also have thyroid issues my thyroid drs prescribes my bp meds (although I have not been taken them in the last 6 months or so).  I am scared to death to talk to my GP about my bp because I cannot function without the adderall. This medicine was a miracle drug for me and I don't want to go off of it.  When I was taking both Adderall and BP meds,  I really didn't notice any ill effects from the combo of the two.  In fact at one pt my BP had gotten too low and I was changed to another one.  At this pt I am trying to exercise and watch my salt intake in order to try and manage my bp w/o any meds, so we will see how that goes.

I would like to know if anyone else out there has had similiar issues to deal with and what the end result was.
