OK as u all know..my son is on 30mg of vyvanse..he has been on it for 6 days now..has been doin great...no bad marks at school..now when he gets home from school today he tells me he was green which is really good..he has been green all this week so far..but i look in his folder and there is a little note from the teacher sayin she didnt think the meds worked as well today and that she thinks they wore off quicker..now i dont know what to think bout that..i have mixed emotions because if she thinks he is gonna be ap erfect angel all the time she is sorely mistaken...and if he is doin his work..then that is all that matters..grrr i just dont know wht to think of that remark..he has only been on it 6 days i know for a fact he doesnt need an increase..he has ADD so i know he isnt hyper least he isnt here anyhow..what do u all think bout this?It sounds to me like she is just keepign you informed. If he told you he was in green all day it doesnt sound like he got in trouble. Remember we WANT good communication with the teacher. It is probably just informing you of the change. Better to be kept updated than find out that the behaviors have been ongoing. I's file the note and keep on moving along.
I wrote her a letting her asking her why she thought this, because i really wanna know..if its because he is talkin or whatever...I didnt put my son on medicine to be an angel..i put him on meds for his focus issues at school and that is all..and as long as he is getting his work done and his homework..then thati s all that matters to me...but we shall see what she says I told her to call me after school today so that we can discuss this.. Once i know what made her think this..then I will be better about it..but it all depends on what he is doin that she thinks its wearing off...he is only 6 so he isnt gonna be an angel all the time.
