| Raising my dosage? what to expect? | |||
| |
So about a month ago I wrote on this board listing the many problems I was encountering with my meds. All of the advice i received was very encouraging and very helpful. So although most of my problems seemed to fade after I took the advice of some poster's who responded to me, a couple of my problems still remained and I told my doctor about them today. She suggested we try upgrading my med dosage from 54mg of concerta to 63 mg of concerta. She wants me to try this out for a month. So, what should I expect??? and How will I know if it's the right dosage for me???? I'm a little nervous so any insight at all you can offer would be great thanks!Hello trackgirl166 What type of problems are you still having? Medication clears the fog and allows you the ability to make choices rather than act on impulse. It's not a cure all and issues must be worked on regardless of the fact that your on medication. If you give us more specific information, we can better answer your questions and share our experiences Your medication may need to be tweaked in order to see maximum benefit and please don't be nervous about the increase as the increase isn't a drastic increase. If your not experiencing unacceptable side effects at your current dose then you should be ok if the dose is upped a bit.
