Eye related tics from Vyvance | ADHD Information

Thanks folks for the feedback.
Our psych just took him off Vyvanse and started him on dexitrime. Hopefully that will stop the eye rolls and help with focus.

Yes, my ds (11) was on 30mg vyvanse then we upped to 50mg vyvanse and had the eye roll tic similar to your son's. One night he cried because it caused a headache. We stopped pronto. He switched back to Ritalin LA and it has not returned. My dd was on Vyvanse and it never caused tics but we switched back to Rilalin LA with her because the Vyvanse appeared to stop working. Go figure.

 

 

 

I have never had my son on vyvance. he is on concerta and will cross his
eyes from time to time. I talked to his doctor and we lowered the dose to
see if that helps. You can always switch meds if you feel it is a big
problem for him.

Has anyone experienced an eye related tic from Vyvance?

My guy is on 70mg of Vyvance and has experiencing a tic with his eyes where they roll up and make it difficult to focus.  The tic only lasts for a few minutes, but it can be dibilitating.

we dont have eye tics here except for an ocasional hard blink. we do have cough and sniff tics though. my ds is 7 and on 30mg for 2 months now. we just started tenex to help decrease these tics since they are very disruptive.

my daughter has that tic. She's never taken Vyvanse. It was the worst on Focalin and Concerta. The best on Ritalin LA, Daytrana and now comes and goes VERY infrequently on Methylin ER (along with Strattera). The eye roll/blink tic has been the main cause of med changes for us.
