My son got into the bandaids again as I was checking out the sight and now I pray no one gets a cut as we AGAIN have none! He has this wierd "sticky urge" and will steal, sneak anything he can suck his thunb with to "calm his nerves".
He is now 7 and way to old but how do I get him to stop when he is so stressed he pulls out all his hair!!!
He will search everywhere for something and it leads to dangerous perching on anything he thinks may have something sticky.

age 2 climbs on on toliet to get on sink to hang onto mirror to swing far enough out to reach 6 ft high child safety latch on door to medcine closet so he can get bandaids he know I may have in therethank the lord he has not found my new"pads" or they might be stuck to his face now that would be a sight sure company would show up just in time lol
It sounds like a sensory issue to me. He likes the sensation so much he is seeking it out. My son who is 9 likes nothing better than to play with bandaids and tape. But he doesn't go out of his way to find it or use it to comfort himself.
