how do you find an adhd specialist? | ADHD Information
when I looked I only found one in miluwakee, I live in green bay 2 hours from there and I have called some places in green bay but they say that they dont have specialists in that area and that all the psycs have training in it but dont specialize.
My local medical school treats any one, accepts insurance, and provides cutting edge treatment from new physicians supervised by older physicians. I ventured there three days ago after twenty years of "routine" treatment for depression in the "commercial" psychiatric arena. WOW, after only a few days on Adderall, I am finally feeling properly cared for. It is so very clear to me that adult adhd is exactly what wrecked things over and over for me, and my spouse is amazed at the difference. So, check out a medical school. Worked for me.
When you look at our insurance online to find a doctor they let you choose the specialty. ADHD is one of them but the Doc may practice with other areas of expertise, ADHD is his main practice. My best friend is in Green Bay for a family visit and they tell me there is not much around there. Her son is also ADHD but they live here in LA.

That's an excellent idea for many people. Thanks for posting it! Perhaps you could start a thread suggesting it?
