Sorry, I have never been a good "help" book reader, however I do like this website & magazine http://rd.bcentral.com/?ID=2367789&s=101870555, & there is a section of the board dedicated to books & artcles.
I would also like to say that our therapist has really helped with ways of handling the behaviorial aspect along with the great people that are on this board. If you ask specific questions, I am sure you will get some helpful responses. Many of us have already been there!
I am stressed with what to do with the behavior part of the ADHD. My 5 year old was diagnosed last month and thank goodness no medications are being considered at this time. That frightens me drugs, I worry about long term affects. Anyways I have read many books on ADHD but none have How to deal with the behavior piece, discipline. I am unsure what she understands and what she does not and she has become a terror, I am embarrassed to take her to stores or a doctors office with me. It is like I have no control over her behavior and she appears undisciplined.
If anyone has a good book on discipline please give me the name and author. Jill
