Anyone with ADHD play chess?
Chess addict here, I would rather play chess than do a lot of other things. But it requires concentration i guess, which leads me to speculate about the nature of the game and ADHD.
I like math too, and the parallel b/t the two for me is that they both require lateral thinking; that is, there is constant change in perception in both mathematics and chess (for me), but it requires sustained concentration. I enjoy both and it seems to keep my attention focused but only because the perception and ways of looking at things is constantly changing (in flux).
Do others with ADHD find this true as well?
