Metadate CD | ADHD Information

My son started taking 30mg of Metadate CD. He is getting thru school but is extremely hyper at the after school program and not listening. He is there from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Is there something he can take to stop him from being so hyper.  They are ready to kick him out of the program. I don't know what to do? Anyone else have this problem any suggestions? Thanks CarolynYou need to tell your doc.  I am taking 40 twice a day, as it lasts about 6 hours for me.  Or you could get some regular ritalin for him in the afternoon, which is supposed to last about 2-4 hours.  I agree, I don't understand why most docs give meds for only part of a day, just read the info about how long the stuff lasts, and use common sense.  good luck
