What to expect? | ADHD Information

I made an appt. for my 5 1/2 yr. old daughter at her peds in 2 weeks.

What will we expect to happen during that appointment?

I'm wondering the same thing; my 6 1/2year old son has an appt on Friday .... luckily I was able to get my son in just a couple of days after I called. But the ped knew we had concerns in the spring and I expressed the urgency with which I wanted to figure out what was going on.

In any case, all I know is the nurse said to expect to get a packet and that the doctor will talk to both myself AND my son. My son's ped is the father of one of his preschool friends so he's comfortable talking to him. We'll see! Good luck to your with your daughter's upcoming appt!

We're meeting with a new ped, our other one gave us the runaround & wanted us to wait until she was 7. We just moved & we've been to this office a few times for sicknesses. Come to find out they specialize in ADHD so hopefully they can at least help us to find out where to go if they can't help.

I probably could've gotten an appt. earlier but it's really hard for my husband to get time off of work. Luckily he's going to the auto show here locally & can go before he goes to that! That night is also our parent/teacher conference, so I'm nervous about that too. It's a BIG day!
