vickie39763.8043171296My ds is on Concerta 27 mg and has been for about 1.5 years now. He took a test at the end of 2nd grade (Cognet or something like that) that came home about a month ago. He was in the 99th percentile for Math and 94 for verbal. I thought it was great but didn't make a big deal about it. I figured it could have been testing stuff he learned early since our school tends to push the kids that way. Then I went to the regular parent/teacher conference yesterday and found out he was the highest score in 3rd grade! I was blown away! His teacher didn't even know he was ADHD. (LOL) I am not sure why it is not in his record after last year but since he doesn't need an IEP or 504 I guess they didn't want to lable him. The teacher said he has trouble focusing sometimes so I told her. He gets As and Bs also - I am very proud!
Good for you and your ds! I hope you are celebrating! How awesome! Thank you for sharing your good news!WOW!
Rock on! I am in your shoes with a third grade boy who just brought home his best ever report card--we finally found the right meds and right teacher. Gotta love those high math scores. Like me, I hope you and your child are basking in the glow. Okay, now it's time to go make the diorama about kangaroos....
