Focalin XR vs Adderall XR .... | ADHD Information

We're switching my son from Focalin XR/Focalin to Adderall XR due to the Focalin XR increasing his aggression.

What are normal side effects of Adderall XR and what should I expect and how long does it take to work, etc?

My son started the Adderall XR (5mg) last Thursday (so he's been on it for 5 days now) and he's TONS more mellow than he had been on the Focalin XR (10mg, and then 5mg of short-acting Focalin in the afternoons).

He's been a tad off due to some sinus something or other but he's been pleasant and happy. I hope the tiredness wears off soon but at least he didn't fall asleep in school today AND he got all of his work done AND he had a great day overall.... they just said he was pretty mellow! LOL

We switched from Focalinxr due to zombie like behaivior to Vyvanse, an Adderral derivative. Adderral is also known to cause aggresive behaivior but not in eveyone. I hope you are the exception and it works great for you. We only had aggressive behaivior at the higher doses so we cut it down.
