Don’t know what to do | ADHD Information

I have to take 45mg of adderall a day to get and stay focused but it only lasts like 2-3 hours, then I'm back to not being able to pay attention to anything or do anything without getting distracted.

is it possible that medication isn't for everyone? would still going up in dosage just be way too much for my body in a day?

How long have you been taking Adderal?

You may also have become adapted to the dosage and may require a longer acting stimulant.

I'd suggest if it is possible, before a switch, that you be med-free so you can monitor the new medication more effectively.

And keep a med diary.
i've only recently been prescribed.  i started at 30mg then moved to 45 and im still having problems

i dont think im adapted to it i've only been on it for about 2 weeks
Is this Adderall IR or XR? If it's thr IR you could try the extended release OR take it twice a day. I don't know the dosage for adderal but are you at the top end already?

As Diane said, you may need timed release. Or that may not be a medication that works well for you.
