please help uncontrollable movements than | ADHD Information
hello need help 6 year old diagnosed with bipolar adhd and laerning disabilities on concerta for two years now has developed pronounced jerky movements of head back and forth and up and down also has a tremor since eighteen months but has not been noticable now teacher at his special needs class is noticing it more,he also has jerly arm movements as well these jerky movements come at random and as i said quote severe. anybody else experienced this. he also has been maling this snorting sound. thank you so much dee

I think its best that you consult your child's physician about this. Have you had your child examined by a neurologist? Sometimes children on ADHD meds develop transient tics and if the medication is stopped the tics go away but you also mention tremors since your child was 18 months old which is non related to medication. There is an underlying reason for the tremors and jerky movements and you need to get down to the bottom of this asap. There are many possiblities in terms of why this is happening but only a professional can give you an informed diagnosis. Good luck.
