completely frustrated. | ADHD Information

My son is 12 he has been diagnosed with adhd since he was 5 has been on meds since he was 6. Lately he has been doing things that just make me so mad. He is taking things from other kids at school lieing saying he doesn't have home work. talking back to the aid on the bus being rude to the sitter which are my parents. he has gotten several refferals already this yr his grades are way bad. i've tried taking all his games away until he brings his grades up but he just don't seem to care. it's as if he hears me talking to him but he don't care what it is im telling him. he wants and wants and wants but does nothing to get the things he wants. its like he is throwing tantrums. i really don't know what else i can do with him. he gets all these extra things in school cause they have him classified as learning disabled but he just don't seem to care. To LTDA and nygurl, we all feel your frustration. For me it's been good to read these posts and see that I'm not alone. It feels good to vent to others who understand. I don't have any helpful advice just yet as were still trying to find the right meds for my daughter, but just know your not alone!
I so feel your pain. It is so hard to deal with.I have been crying for a week cuz I don't know how to help my 6 year old daughter. I am trying to tell myself to just take it one day at a time. I do think the biggest battle is getting on the right meds. and it can be a huge up hill battle. I wish you luck and I hope that it will get better soon.What are you doing about this? What is the doc saying? If this has just started, could the medication have stopped working or he needs a larger dose?

Are you getting some counselling support for this? Is the child?

Something's not right if he was doing okay and now he's not.
