heartburn and nausea on Adderral | ADHD Information

I have been taking 20mg of Adderral 2x Daily for the past month. Just recently, I have started getting heartburn and nausea when I take my medication. Is there any reason that I would experience this sudden onset of symptoms?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Also, is it OK to take medications such as Mylanta or Zantac while taking a stimulant?It's better not to take medications that impede the flow of the medication. Have you been taking aspirin or any nsaids? They are extremely hard on the stomach lining.

What I'm going to suggest may sound strange to you but it WILL help as long as you don't have high blood pressure, it won't hurt you a bit.

Put a teaspoon of baking soda in warm water and take a few sips, followed by a plain full glass of water 4x per day. Later you can just do this when you have heartburn.

It may take a few day-week to kick in. I've tried every medication out there for reflux, heartburn etc. and this simple home remedy, over time, works better than ANY of them.

And at a buck a box [which would last a year] it's cheaper, too. I've stopped buying all the OTC meds for stomach problems.

As well, it helps to prop yourself up 8-12 inches when sleeping until the heartburn eases off.
