Brain "zaps" usually occur with the SSRI's upon discontinuation. I guess it happens with stimulant, although ive never experienced it.
this is my 3rd full day back on adderall xr 10 mgs and i have been getting what feels like a brain zap since being on this med.
it just comes off and on for about a few seconds then is gone that quick. it almost makes my head feel too funny, almost like i am going to get dizzy but my head just kind of buzzes for a second or two then it is gone.
not sure how to really explain this but that is the best that i can do. it happens a few times through the day and the evening, maybe between 3-6 times a day but just for those few shorts seconds, almost like a whirling feeling, like when one is standing still and they feel they are swaying...
help?
I know exactly what you are talking about. It's like your brain does a little flip. I don't like it. It scares me. I feel like I'm getting brain damage.10mg of xr isn't much. i wonder if it's cuz the amount of medication over the long period of time just isn't enough. i'm a male, 175 lbs., and i take 30mg per day. anything less and i just feel weird.
good luck,
bill
I get those when I miss a dose of my Lexepro. It makes a sound like when you hit a button on your computer and it doesn't let you go any further. It is very weird. Are the Drs aware of this? What is it?I had them coming off Celexa... they suck. The drug companies denied there were withdrawl symptoms from SSRIs for a looooong time.
