Does rebound hyperactivity go away??? | ADHD Information
My twins have been on Vyvanse for about 3 months now and have been doing great but have recently started having horrible rebound hyperactivity. Does this go away or subside with treatment? As soon as the meds where off they start going nuts!! Help! Welcome jkanello. The meds should go in quietly and leave quietly. If your having rebound issues sometimes the doctor might recommend a short acting stimulant when the Vyvanse has worn off. Also, sometimes the doctor might lower the dose or change the med but if the med is working great, he may choose another option to elliminate the rebound. Rebound issues can be corrected. Speak to your child's doctor about it. Luvmykids0239803.5751967593
Thx for your input (and respect/sympathy)
The boys are best friends and worst enemies at any given minute of the day so my days are long....but rewarding.
That's good to know - I will talk to the doc about it. Thx so much!
I experinced strong rebound when i first started stimulant meds but with time it diminished to unnoticeable. twins...geesh! you have my utmost respect and sympathy!
