New to Concentra | ADHD Information

To me,  it doesn't sound like Concerta is the right medication for you.  If it is making things worse,  I'd be inclined to stop and call your doctor. I agree, I think you should call the doctor and let him know what is going on, Maybe the dose needs increasing? Maybe a change of meds? Your doc will know.27 mg is a ramp up dose, not a full adult dose. And if it's making you that much worse, it's not a good choice for you.

You sound like you require hyperfocus for some tasks. Are you sure you want to medicate for ADHD?

I had some jobs where medicating would have made it more complicated [I needed to be bonkers to do them] and task management skills were all I needed.

Also, some medications you can take only when needed [say for a meeting] and not take when being ADHD is an advantage.

Consider the possibilities....

I am 35 years old and finally faced up to the fact that I may have ADHD. I went to the DR and after some test with the phcy I was given Concentra 27. I have been taking it for 3 days now and I don't see any changes except I think I have become more snappy with my wife. The Dr. told me to give it at least 2 weeks. Should I wait that long to tell the Dr. or should I call him sooner??

Usually you start at low dosage and they ramp it up. Until you adjust, some medications are just plain weird.

I'd give it the two weeks and if  you're still cranky [and it's not the holiday blues or anything] then bring it up because not all people react the same way to certain medications.
OK, today is the 4th day that I have taken this med. Today at work I was completly lost, it was like I could not complete anything that I started. I am the General Manager of an Arbys and on Monday mornings is when we do week end bookwork to turn into corprate. Normaly I can count and inventory and and do week ending paper work in 3 hours today it took 6. Then running the shift during lunch was a disater. I felt like it was my first day on thwe job. I also have been really irrateable today, I feel like I have bitten a few heads off today and thats not me. This is not normal is it? I think I need to ask my dr sooner then later, or should I still wait the 2 weeks like he said?
