My 13 yr old son has adhd and is embarrassed about taking his meds at school, so we havehim on Focalin once in the morning. His appetite is so much better, but he has much more anxiety and is angry and defient.
To complicate things further, my husband and I are going through a very ugly divorce. Its so hard on my kids. My son has a older and younger sister. We seperated in July 08 and he started on the meds Aug. 08. I don;t know if its the meds or the divorce thats causing the trouble. Probly both.
He goes to the doc. next week and I really would like any imput you have regarding this focalin xr or about how you child handled divorce. Thank you!
I am so tired and feel helpless. He is always pinching my last nerve. (not literally)He torments his sisters and his mouth has gotten filthy. He has always had a temper, but it has gotten worse. His seperation anxiety is so hard on all of us. can't leave him at all. Even in the store he has to be with me all the time and he is so challenging. I know I am being vague.
