Our son has been on risperdal for about 9 months-increasing from .25mg-.75mg/daily over that time period.
A few months ago we started using melatonin (about 2-3mg) to help with sleep.
Within weeks, it was if he was no longer taking the risperdal. The aggressive behavior and fits were back. I have looked for drug interaction info, but can't seem to find anything.
Ideas? Thanks...
I would suggest aksing a pharmocologist or psychopharm this question. I have never heard of Melatonin reacting like this with any med.
