Hi there I am not able to afford a coach. But I hope you can answer this one question for me,, or at least give me some direction! I have had ADHD my whole life. I am on meds now as an adult,, but I struggle the most with one issue. When I go to do a task,, say a phone call,, (This applies to so many other areas in my life tho..),,, I get this anxiety welling up inside me,, and I just don't do it. I don't call people back,, It is like I know what I should do,, and what I want to do,, but I can't make myself do it! I get this anxiety , overwhelmed feeling welling up,, and it freaks me out. It is affecting my life in a huge way. Help! Christy Hi ,i would try giving yourself a little positive mantra ,such as I can do this, or I am not afraid and repeat it a few times until you feel good inside. also give yourself visual reminders to start something, post it notes, diary, white board, kitchen timer etc . hope this helps Hi Sandradee Thanks! I actually am the note queen.. I have a dry erace board ,, sticky notes,, calenders,, a day planner,,, and boy do I make myself lists!!! It is more a matter of getting it done,, and managing the panic/anxiety attacks. Or whatever it is that somehow seems to be getting the best of me. :) Christy |
