I feel strange on Medication | ADHD Information

I was diagnosed with ADHD 3 1/2 years ago.  I was nursing and planning to have another child so I never went on medication but I did go to therepy for about three years.  I recently stopped nursing so I decided to try medication.  My doctor prescribed me with 1 dose of 10 mg Adderall XR each day  for 1 week then 2 doses of 10 mg each day thereafter.  I was not able to take the prescibed amounts because I felt like I was high as a kite.  I took one dose every couple of days and this week I've finally been able to take 10mg each day and today I took 2 doses (I'm on my second week now).  I have been able to get things done but I've been wearing myself out.  My hands hurt and today I have been feeling really down (depressed) and tired.  I feel like I just want to be off the drugs and be myself.  Do I need to give this more time??? I don't know what to do.  I feel strange.  I will probably call my doctor Monday.

Yes.

I recently upped and changed the dosages of my Strattera, one of the side effects is dizziness which I experienced when starting off on the med, one year ago. Just changing the dosage from 60mg once a day to 40mg twice a day - imagine the side effects which I had totally forgotten about. I come down the first morning, get so dizzy I lie (almost faint) on the kitchen floor! feel sick due to low blood pressure etc. second morning already better and now I am feeling that not only the side effects are gone but it suits me alot better than the 60mg a day, even my hubby says so, and he says as little as possible about the whole thing.
I would say, keep at it because the win might well outway the losses.
