Lecture Feb. 9 at UC Irvine | ADHD Information

Share

The moderator OK'd my posting this info., but requested that I ask people not to say in advance whether they'll be attending the lecture.  This is to protect them from a negative situation of an unfavorable person seeking them out there.

I'm seeking clarification whether it's OK to post info. about the lecture here after it's over.  So, please PM anyone interested in what occurred there unless we get the OK to post the info. here.

I wish I was in that area and could attend this lecture.  It sounds fabulous!  If anyone attends, please PM me with a summary.  The lecture is free, but requires RSVP.

ADHD, Reading Comprehension and Home Study Skills

with Dr. Sabrina Schuck

The Child Development Center, UC Irvine cordially invites you to spend an evening with Dr. Schuck who is an Educational Psychologist specializing in two commonly co-occurring troubles of childhood: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Reading Disorder. She brings over 20 years experience working with children with problems of attention, behavior, and learning. She is especially interested in creating awareness among elementary and secondary school teachers about the nature and treatment of these difficulties. Her research program at UC Irvine is dedicated to better understanding the underlying constructs of reading comprehension difficulties in children with attention disorders, how these troubles contribute to poor academic progress and school failure with efforts toward better indicating appropriate interventions. Dr. Schuck provides comprehensive psychoeducational assessment of behavior, reading, attention and learning aptitudes.
