My son has been taking adderall Xr for three years....My share, with insurance, is now .00 a month. I can't afford this but he needs it to cope in school. He also needs the Extended release as he gets to many mood issues with the short working meds. Does anyone lnow of an extended release drug that may have a generic version that wou;d work similair to his Adderall?

Is mail order an option with your insurance?  I've found mail order to be a lot less expensive.

On controlled substances, the doctor can write a prescription for a 90-day supply, which is the best way to go if you have a co-pay and pay the same amount regardless of how much you get.  There are no refills on controlled substances, so you need a new prescription each time.  Also, you have to mail in a prescription.  The doctor cannot call in a controlled substance, and you can't fax the prescription.

per month for Adderall is crazy!  I hope you figure out a less expensive way.
