Bad Anxiety

Dr. told me that it's trial and error to see which anti-anxiety med. won't increase the impulsivity.  If we pull him off Zoloft, he wants to try Celexa next.

What sorts of problems are you seeing about taking both Zoloft and Concerta?  I ask b/c my child currently is taking Zoloft and Metadate CD.  I'm probably going to pull him off the Zoloft b/c his ADHD is not as well controlled, and that's with halfing the Zoloft dose.  He takes only 12.5 mg.  We increased his guanfacine (Tenex) dose in the afternoons, and we're going to do a trial if that alone is enough to manage his anxiety.  If not, dr. wants to try Celexa.  However, he said it's trial and error to see how the various anti-anxiety meds will impact his ADHD.  He said there's no way to predict which one will work best.

I also forgot to give the Zoloft once about a month ago.  That was a loooooong night.

I am seeing an increase in impulsivity with the mix of the two. I am not willing to give up the Concerta AT ALL! I am just wondering if there is another anti-anxiety/depressant that might not have that interaction. we tried cutting the zoloft in half from 50mg to 25mg and it was a disaster. My son 10, is on Concerta and Zoloft. has anyone tried another ant- anxiety/depression med that works well for Anxiety. My son has meltdowns when we have forgotten to give him his Zoloft (only a couple of times) and the two meds don't seem to mix well. Looking for something else to go with the Concerta for BAD Anxiety?my dd age 9 has been on concerta and clonazepam for about a year and a half now. She can have full blown panic attacks, We see no side affect. We did have her on Prozac also but didn't see where is was really doing anything else to help so removed it. She also takes clonidine .02 mg at night which helps with her impulivity. Everyone has told me how much better she is doing.
