Concerta zoloft update | ADHD Information

Well after speaking to DS's psychiatrist yesterday, we decided to up the Concerta to 27mg again. The 1st time he was sleeping all day so we went back down to 18 but were still having impulsivity issues and some school issues. So far this time No sleepiness and much beter attitude. I hope this solves the situation for a while at least. He is eating great and sleeping with melatonin good. I just pray this is going to be the one. thank you to all of you who have helped me not lose my sanity through this. I really appreciate it. I am hoping this will take care of the issues that were left over from the 18mg. Doctor did not feel comfortable with giving him tenex yet.spamula39872.5371296296How's it going on the higher Concerta dose?  Hopefully the initial positives have continued!

hi spamula i just wanted to tell u that my son has the same tics that u are describing with your son. he coughed or cleared his throat constantly and sniffed. the longer he was on it the more he did it. when we switche to vyvanse it slowed down again and then about a week or 2 later it started back up. with the tenex it stopped it after it had a chance to work (6-8wks) and now after a few months they are slowly but surely coming back. im not sure my ds is going to be able to take stims. we are doing a med break in the summer as the vyvanse is no good for him. he is very aggressive and seems to have an attitude all day. plus all the adhd signs are slowly coming back. anyway i just wanted to share bc some drs will say its not a tic. tenex did help us for quite a while. i can imagine if i upped the dose it would stop them again but we are wanting a brea. anyways good luck to you and ds.

now he is getting some small vocal tics like throat clearing and sinus stuff. Not too noticeable. so the 27 is good for now.

Does he have a history of tics?  Or how about pollen allergies?  Perhaps the sinus stuff and throat clearing could be pollen related?

He has had a history of anxiety tics and they were made worse on the Vyvanse, but since we have switched the tics went away with the Concerta, but now we are seeing some more since the increase He does also have allergies big time. but it sounds different.spamula39879.386412037The higher dose is going well so far. no side effects nlike before. does have more of a rebound though
