High Blood Pressure/ADHD | ADHD Information

My son is on 30mg of Adderall and 2 mg of Clonidine for ADHD.  The school he attends was randomly checking kids blood pressure 2 weeks ago.  On the day they checked my son's his was high so they have been checking it periodically since then.  Well, they called this morning and stated that it was high again this morning and suggested I put a call in to his doctor.  They stated that the bottom number was fine, but the top number was a little high.  My son is also about 35lbs over weight.  I am very concerned.  Has any of your children experienced high blood pressure due to Adderall or other ADHD Meds?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm 23, on adderall, 40 mg a day, slim/athletic build.  I have not had any problems with blood pressure, however, it does tend to raise my pulse.

When I used to donate plasma on a regular basis I would have to halve my medicaiton intake or my pulse would be too high.  You can't donate if your pulse is over 100 BPM and with my full doseage it typically would be 105-110. 

It never was too much of an issue though. shrug

I went to the doctor today and they just told me to have him cut back on salt and more exercise (he does need lose weight). She stated that his BP was not unusual for a patient his size on Adderall and he had no other symptoms of hypertension.  I am so relieved.  They do want to see him again in one month to follow up.
