My daughter who is 7 has been taking Adderall XR for about 7 months. She is now showing signs of depression that I hope is related to this drug. She never ever had these symptoms before. She will cry for no reason and sometimes cry for days because someone left the house and "she misses them". She is now even asking why she is all of a sudden the sensitive one. She says she doesn't know why she feels so sad and cries all the time . I haven't called the doctor yet but I am going to because this has been going on for a month. I have had the teachers monitor her behavior as well and they have noticed her sadness. Anyone elses experiencing this with their child. She is on 5 mg once a day. She is 56 inches tall and weighs 55 lbs.
