First soccer game on meds!! | ADHD Information
CONGRATS to your DS. I am so glad the meds helped his soccer performance. My son plays guitar and the teacher says he is doing great w/o meds by the time he comes. yoo hoo! This current season is Holden's 4th season of playing,
with the current one being the first season post-ADHD dx
and us starting meds.
MY KID PAID ATTENTION!
He RAN (not skipped, ran in circles) **AFTER** the
ball!!
He was an AWESOME goalie and got right in the middle of
a group of kids who were much larger than him and got
the ball away (and kept it from going in the goal) and
threw it back into play.
This is a kid who the last 2 seasons, while he's
improved, would literally run in circles, scuffle his
feet through the grass, and talk through the game and
not pay attention.
And best of all, his team WON!! 3-1!! (he kept the other
team from scoring 3 goals while he was goalie) WOOHOO!
I was so happy for him today!CONGRATULATIONS TO YOUR DS.....fine example of quality of life!Yay! I too see the difference in my now properly medicated son's soccer performance. Okay, he is not a superstar, but there is a definate difference. Thanks for sharing the good news.Yeah for your son, i KNOW first hand how exciting that can be. My son will take his first booster for his baseball game tonight and i'm hoping it wil lhelp him focus too. Our biggest problems were that most games were played when he was coming down from his adderall xr and he was either tired, irritable or just unable to focus again. His dr. prescribed us a 4 hour booster to take on game nights, so tonight i will see if it makes a difference.
